Take Your Child to the Library Day by Raymond Village Library

Join us in celebrating National Take Your Child to the Library Day on Saturday, February 4th for special crafts, activities and snacks. Parents are invited to visit the library for these programs and sign up their children for their first library card.

According to Library Director, Allison Griffin “Take Your Child to the Library Day is a wonderful way for people in our community to learn about the early literacy programs, educational resources and fun events that our librarians provide for free to the community every day of the year. “

Now in its sixth year, TYCLD is an international initiative that encourages families everywhere to take their children to their local library. Launched in Connecticut in 2011, TYCLD raises awareness about the importance of the library in the life of a child and promotes library services and programs for children and families.
