When
your birthday rolls around, you want to shout it to the world. You want people
to recognize that you’ve made it another year, even if that year is 29 for the
thirteenth time.
This
month The Windham Eagle turns three! We couldn’t be prouder or more excited
about becoming a toddler. As with all 3-year-olds we are running around and
into everything. We can always use more help finding out and exploring our
communities.
I
love it when I’m asked how long I’ve worked at the newspaper. My answer is
simple…since the beginning, three years ago. Most people can’t believe we’ve
only been arriving in their mailboxes for three years. Some days it feels like
we’ve been a part of our area for a lot longer.
We
love what we are doing, helping local businesses, introducing you to local
celebrities and keeping you up on what’s happening in Windham, Raymond and
sometimes beyond that.
To
celebrate we asked local businesses to tell us how long they’ve been in
business. Running a business is hard. There are constant demands on time,
energy and resources. Owning a business is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Please
celebrate with us the businesses that have chosen to partner with us as we all
celebrate our successes.
The
Windham Eagle is constantly striving to become better, cover more and reach
more people. Recently we have added a strong social media campaign on Facebook
and Twitter. We have added online advertising to many of our stories and we are
seeing the results of those efforts. We continue to accept your letters and
story suggestions. We want to be the newspaper you turn to when you want to see
what’s happening in the area.
We
continue to be the positive paper that covers the solutions. So if you have
