Dear Editor - From Patrick Corey

Dear Editor,

It's been an honor spending the last two years representing Windham's residents in your legislature and I'd like to express my gratitude for giving me the opportunity to continue in this service. Though I ran unopposed, I used the opportunity to knock on a lot of doors, seek feedback, hear concerns, and meet people I hadn't met before.

My commitment will continue to be building an in-depth understanding of issues that are critical to you prior to voting, acting responsive and transparent, and being present and engaged in the job you sent me to do.

Last session I was in attendance and voting 100 percent of the time. Some of our most challenging legislative priorities will be building a robust economy powerful enough to support Maine families, higher education costs, the opioid epidemic, and keeping taxes reasonable in a state where the overall burden is fairly hefty comparatively. Together we'll improve the outlook for Windham's residents.

Of course, it's impossible to do great work in a bubble and that's why your feedback and ideas are vital. I can be reached at (207) 749-1336 or patrick.corey@legislature.maine.gov. Again, I really appreciate your support and am committed to being a strong advocate for my neighbors in Augusta.

Patrick Corey, State Representative
