Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

The political season is upon us. It’s hard to believe but there are currently 29 people registered in Maine seeking to be our next governor. We shall soon begin to hear from local Maine Senate and House Candidates as well.

The Raymond Republican Party will hold their annual caucus on Saturday March 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Raymond Fire Department Building, the Public Safety Building, 1443 Roosevelt Trail, Raymond, Maine.

The meeting will include various items such as electing officers, learning about local Republican candidates and choosing Raymond Republicans who will represent us at the next statewide Republican Convention, May 4-5, 2018 in Augusta. Raymond Republicans, people wishing to register to become a Republican voter and all local Republican candidates are welcome. This meeting is a great opportunity for Raymond Republicans who wish to get very involved as well as local Republicans wanting to simply learn more.

Maine is fortunate as we tend to get good people, maybe even our neighbors, running for these local seats. As we watch the political divide widen between the two major parties nationally, we challenge all Raymond voters to closely look at what each party now stands for and to support the candidate and party that will best fight for local control, family rights and for policy that will allow Maine businesses to succeed.

Raymond Republican Party believes individuals and families make the best decisions, not the government. We seek to send people to Augusta who also believe that.

Please join us at the caucus; we look forward to seeing you. For more information contact Raymond Republican Party Chair Marshall Bullock at: Rbullock1@maine.rr.com.

Sincerely,
Mike McClellan
Raymond
